UFC Fight Night 65 Results: Alex Chambers Pulls Off A Crazy Come From Behind Submission Win

The women took center stage in the third fight of UFC Fight Night 65, when strawweights Alex Chambers and Kailin Curran faced off in the octagon.

Both fighters came out with leg kicks at the start of round one. Curran landed a huge punch but was eventually taken down by Chambers. Chambers stood up and let Curran get to her feet. Chambers tried to get a trip but Curran took advantage and wound up on top. After landing some good ground and pound Curran lost position and Chambers got to her feet. Curran kept the pressure of and continued to land big shots. Chambers looked for a double leg takedown and got it, but Curran was able to get right back to her feet. Chambers again looked for a takedown but was stuffed. Curran kept the pressure on and landed several combos while Chambers was against the cage.

In the second Curran came out as the aggressor, forcing Chambers to back up. Curran continued to land punches in bunches. Chambers went for a takedown but was reversed and put on the cage in the clinch. Chambers appeared to be tired, breathing out of her mouth. Chambers threw a body kick that was caught by Curran who used it to threw Chambers down. Curran ran in and got on top, landing big shots from the standing postured up position. The fighters made their way to their feet. Curran got caught in an armlock with about 10 seconds left in the round. She survived.

Curran came out in the third and continued to land sharp strikes. Chambers looked fatigued. Curran shot a double and get it. Chambers tried to get a kimura locked up. She held it for a while, then switched to an armbar and forced Curran to tap. Talk about come from behind win.

RESULTS: Alex Chambers wins via submission (armbar) at 3:15 or round 3.
