Fight of the Night: Matt Van Buren vs. Sean O’Connell
Van Buren looked to be on his way to a stoppage victory as he was picking O’Connell apart with body shots. O’Connell made an amazing comeback in the second and third rounds, however, and ultimately stopped the fight in the third round!
Performance of the Night: Lorenz Larkin
Larkin looked to be in the best shape of his career when he walked into the octagon, but his opponent was no joke. John Howard’s head movement was impressive in the beginning of the fight, but he got caught with a big overhand right that sent him crashing to the mat. Larkin jumped on him quickly and blasted Howard with shots until the referee was forced to stop the fight.
Performance of the Night: Conor McGregor
It was no surprise when Dana White announced that McGregor would receive one of the POTN bonuses tonight. His actions inside the octagon made it clear that he is not all hype and he really is one of the most unique personalities in sports today. He picked Siver apart for seven minutes before dropping him and gaining top control in the form of full mount. He was methodical and picked his shots, forcing Siver to keep guessing when he had to cover up. McGregor fired off bombs until the referee finally waved it off.
