UFC 193 is set to go down Sunday November 15 (Saturday November 14 in North America) live from Etihad Stadium in Melbourne, Australia.
The pay-per-view event is headlined by a women’s bantamweight title fight featuring current champ Ronda Rousey taking on undefeated challenger Holly Holm.
Ronda Rousey (12-0 MMA) is coming off a first-round knockout victory over the previously undefeated Bethe Correia, which took place in the headlining bout of August’s UFC 190 event in Brazil. “Rowdy” has now won her last three fights in an astonishing combined time of 64-seconds. The only opponent to ever get out of the first-round with Ronda Rousey was Miesha Tate, who suffered a third-round submission loss to “Rowdy” in the pairs second encounter at UFC 168.
Rousey now meets former Boxing world champion Holly Holm (9-0 MMA), who has gone 2-0 since joining the UFC ranks. “The Preacher’s Daughter” was last seen in action at July’s UFC Fight Night 71 event, where she earned a unanimous decision victory over Marion Reneau. Six of Holm’s nine career mixed martial arts victories have come by way of knockout.
In the evenings co-main event, women’s strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk will put her strap on the line against Canadian standout Valerie Letourneau.
