UFC 166 Odds: Velasquez Opens Up as Favorite over Dos Santos in Trilogy Fight

By bjpenndotcom - June 18, 2013

UFC heavyweight champion has something to prove at UFC 166 as he faces off against former champion and era-rival, Junior dos Santos at UFC 166. Velasquez looks to defeat dos Santos for the second time in a row as he took his title back at UFC 155 as he defeated the Brazilian former champ via unanimous decision.

Now Velasquez has the odds on his side as BestFightOdds.com sees the champion as a favorite.

Cain Velasquez: -215

Junior dos Santos : +175

Both fighters are coming off of victories at UFC 160. Velasquez in a title-defending effort against Antonio ‘Bigfoot’ Silva in just one minute and twenty-one seconds in round 1. Dos Santos rides a ‘Knockout of the Night’ performance against Mark Hunt who was starched by a spinning wheel kick from dos Santos.

It is a close betting line that is hard to read based off of the first two fights as anything can happen when these two heavyweight tyrants meet for the third time.
