In an interview with Inside MMA, UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman talked about his desire to fight in New York and who he would want to face on his home turf.

“If there’s a card in New York and I’m not on it, I’m out of the UFC. Dana and Lorenzo, all of those guys, know how much it matters to me, for me to be fighting on that card at Madison Square Garden, the first card in New York.”

“I wanted to clear out my division more before I finally– I wanted that super fight with Jon Jones, and that fight’s going to happen at some point. I’ve talked to him about it face-to-face and he’s excited about it too.”
