Tough Guy Tuesday: Jarome Iginla

In today’s segment of “Tough Guy Tuesday” we feature current National Hockey League forward and future Hall of Famer Jarome Iginla.

Jarome Iginla, who currently plays for the Colorado Avalanche, made headlines yesterday evening when he became just the 19th player in NHL history to reach the 600-goal mark.

The 38-year-old reached the milestone while on a third period power play, in a game the Colorado Avalanche eventually won 4-1 over the Los Angeles Kings.

Iginla spent the majority of his career with the Calgary Flames where he played a remarkable 18 seasons.

The product of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, has now played in 1432 career NHL games and has produced a total of 1,247 points, 600 of those beings goals.

Along with being one of the NHL’s best point getters, Iginla has also made a name for himself in the fight department.

The two-time Canadian Olympic Hockey Gold medal winner has never been one to shy away from a fight as showcased in the above tribute video.

In his 1400+ career NHL games, “Iggy” has compiled a total of 954 penalty minutes.
