Tae Hyun Bang vs. Mairbek Taisumov set for UFC Fight Night 34 in Singapore

Yesterday, UFC officials annoucned that a lightweight bout featuring South Korean Tae Hyun Bang (16-7 MMA, 0-0 UFC) and Austrian prospect Mairbek Taisumov (20-4 MMA, 0-0 UFC) is the latest addition to the “UFC Fight Night 34” card set for January 4 in Singapore.

2014 will mark Tae Hyun Bang’s tenth year competing as a professional mixed martial artist. The Sengoku and DEEP veteran, Bang, has gone 2-3 in his past 5 contests. During that stretch, the South Korean fighter suffered decision losses to former PRIDE champ Takanori Gomi and Strikeforce veteran Jorge Masvidal.

25 year-old Mairbek Taisumov will also be making his octagon debut when the UFC invades Singapore next month. Taisumov enters the contest riding the momentum of his current 3 fight win-streak. All three of those wins came by form of stoppage and  took place under the M-1 Global banner. Out of his 20 career wins, 19 have come by way of finish, including 10 by way of knockout.

UFC Fight Night 34 takes place January 4 live from Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre. The event is headlined by a welterweight match-up featuring former Strikeforce champion Tarec Saffiedine taking on Hyun Gyu Lim.
