St-Pierre Open To Random Drug Testing For Condit Fight? | UFC NEWS

By BJPENN.COM News - September 15, 2012

Apparently Rory MacDonald’s induction into the VADA program has inspired TriStar Gym’s head coach, Firas Zahabi, who recently told Canadian media outlet Sportsnet.ca that he wants UFC welterweight champion GSP to enter into the program as well.

“If Rory can do it, then why not Georges? Why not, let’s do it,” said Zahabi.

For their part, the Condit camp also agrees to a testing program according to the report, but opt for a more comprehensive screening process:

“Carlos is obviously interested in upholding the integrity of the sport. He would be more than interested to submit to testing, but we’d prefer to do it via the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) because we feel they are the most reputable drug testing organization in the world,” said Condit rep, John Fuller.

Will two more of the sports top athletes step up and get tested in an attempt to clean up the sport that as of late has been plagued with poor decision makers?

Stay tuned…
