Former UFC/WEC bantamweight title challenger, Scott “Young Guns” Jorgensen (14-7 MMA, 3-3 UFC), has decided to make the drop to Flyweight and will be welcomed to the division by Ian “Uncle Creepy” McCall (12-4-1 MMA, 1-2-1 UFC) this December at the UFC on FOX 9 event in Sacramento, California. Meanwhile, longtime flyweight contender Ian McCall is coming off his first win under the Zuffa banner. “Uncle Creepy” scored a unanimous-decision victory over Iliarde Santos at August’s UFC 163 event in Brazil. The win also earned McCall the evenings “Fight of the Night” bonus. Prior to that, McCall suffered losses to Joseph Benavidez and current flyweight champ Demetrious Johnson.
UFC on FOX 9 goes down December 14 live from the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, California. The event is headlined by a lightweight title fight between current champion Anthony “Showtime” Pettis and challenger Josh Thomson.
