Rousey: ‘It’s Kind Of Nice’ Not Having Beef With Holly Holm

UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is coming off of a 34 second KO over Bethe Correia, in a fight Rousey called personal.

Correia did her best to hype the fight going so far as to make comments that made light of suicide. Rousey’s father took his own life when she was young.

The two had plenty of other words ahead of the fight as well. Now, Rousey will fight Holly Holm at UFC 193 and she’s pretty happy that there’s no bad blood between the two of them.

Here’s what she said at a recent UFC fan Q&A.

“If anything it’s kinda nice to be able to take a rest from that sometimes. It’s nice to fight somebody you’re cool with, then somebody you’re not so cool with, then somebody you’re cool with; not so cool with, because if you have a rivalry with somebody it takes a lot of energy out of you. Especially when two fights are back-to-back, it’s nice to have the second one be somebody you’re cool with because I don’t have the energy to argue right now.”
