Rony Jason Injured, Leaves Jeremy Stephens Without Opponent

By BJPENN.COM News - September 16, 2013

UFC featherweight fighter, Rony Jason has been pulled from his scheduled date with Jeremy Stephens following a reported lumbar hernia.

The two were originally slated to face off next month at UFC Fight Night 29 in Barueri, Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Jeremy Stephens recently made the shift to the UFC’s 145 pound division after dropping three straight as a lightweight. He won his debut in the new division against Estevan Payan and now finds himself without an opponent for his second trip at featherweight.

UFC officials have yet to announce the injury of Jason and it is unclear if they will seek a new opponent for Stephens or remove him from the card entirely.
