Ronda Rousey’s 6.5 Million Reasons She’s MMA’s Top Dog

By BJPENN.COM News - August 13, 2015

Ronda Rousey

Yesterday it was announced that UFC champion Ronda Rousey made the Forbes highest-paid women in sports list, coming in at number 8.

What earned her the eight spot? 6.5 million.

According to the report Rousey made 3 million from fighting, although the list only takes into account two of her fights, and then 3.5 million from her several endorsements.

Rousey has only been in the UFC for 3 years and is already reached the top of the sport and is starting to branch out into other areas of pop culture, including movies and books. So it’s not $100 million like some athletes (Floyd Mayweather) it’s still an accomplishment to take notice of.

In just a short time she’s up on the list with some of the biggest female stars in sports period. Her star power is only growing and this number is only going to go up in the coming years. Will she ever reach the top? Who knows, but it will be fun to watch.
