UFC middleweight Luke Rockhold ran through Lyoto Machida Saturday night. Rockhold hurt Machida in the first round and never let up. Going into the second Machida was still on daze street and Rockhold took advantage.

Machida tapped in the second round to a rear-naked-choke. After the fight, at the post-fight press conference, Rockhold didn’t mince words. He wants the title shot and feels like it’s his time.

“I said it before, and I’ll say it again: This is my show. I was going to dominate whether he was fighting me well or not.

“No offense to Jacare, but I am the No. 1 contender. I’m the best guy around, and it’s my title shot.”

“I’ve dominated everybody in my path; I’ve beaten Jacare, and I deserve it. I’ve been in there with Vitor. I’d love a rematch. All the greats get caught – it’s the champions that come back and prove themselves and get on top. I’m the best in the world, and I believe I’ll beat Chris and Vitor and anybody else in my path. I want the title next. I want the winner.”
