By BJPENN.COM News - February 8, 2015

Silva emotional celebration

Last month Anderson Silva returned to the Octagon after a 13 month layoff to fight Nick Diaz in the main event of UFC 183.

Silva went the distance with Diaz, ultimately winning by unanimous decision.

After the bout however, it was revealed that Silva failed a random, pre-fight drug test ahead of the bout, but was allowed to fight anyway.

Now it is being reported by Veja.com.br that The UFC has yet to pay Silva his $600,000 ‘show money’, $200,000 win bonus, and $5.2 million from his cut of the PPV sales.

Veja.com.br also reported that the UFC will pay Silva his money after the NSAC makes their final ruling on the situation at a hearing set for February 17th.

Note: The dollar amounts mentioned above are in U.S. Dollars, and not Brazilian Reel.
