JiuJitsu legend Renzo Gracie is eyeing a return to the UFC after he has his grappling match against Kazushi Sakuraba at Metamoris 5 in November.

Sakuraba broke Renzo’s arm when the two first faced off under the PRIDE FC banner in 2000.

Renzo spoke with Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour about his desire to return to the cage, and his match against Sakuraba.

“I got a phone call from my cousin Ralek. He said, ‘Sakuraba may be signing with us, are you interested in fighting him?’ I said, ‘sign me up.’ The day that I got that call, I started training. That was a month ago. Especially for the fact that I came up short in the last one. In my head, the winner is the one who win the last one. He’s a gentleman, he’s a great guy. But if I can, I will choke him or break his arm to pay back what he did to mine (laughs).”

“I have been very busy. I began a pharmaceutical company. Something very big that is taking off and working great. On top of that, I had problems with my family that I had to take care of, so I couldn’t train. My son got sick and it took me a year off anything I can do. He is now much better and he will probably be in my corner. Everything is going great and I’m ready to kick some butt. And soon, believe it, after Sakuraba, I’m coming for UFC. I am serious as hell, my friend, believe it.”
