Rampage Is Down To Fight In Japan On NYE

By BJPENN.COM News - October 10, 2015

Alright MMA fanboys, try not to go to crazy, but Quinton “Rampage” Jackson says he’d like to fight on that NYE card in Japan. That’s right, the new promotion, ‘Rizin Fighting Federation,’ which will feature the return of Fedor Emelianenko, might be Rampage’s next stop.

The former UFC champ said, during a live Twitch stream, that the UFC have given him the OK to settle with Bellator, which means he could end up fighting for them again. Jackson seems cool with that, but said he has his eyes set on the upcoming Japan event.

How cool would that be? Rampage fighting in a ring, in Japan, for the former PRIDE boss and under PRIDE rules. Talk about nostalgia.

Check out what Rampage had to say:

“I better start getting in shape because hopefully I’ll be fighting by Christmas. I’m looking forward to possibly fighting in Japan on New Year’s if everything goes right.

“I’m down to go to Japan and fight on that card. We can settle up and get s**t back going so I don’t retire. That’s the only other option. If they’re going to tie me up in court for a couple years I might as well go retire and become a stripper.”
