Officials announce new date for Bellator 147

Officials announced today that the initial Dec. 11 date for Bellator 147 has been changed to take place a week earlier, on Dec. 4, according to MMA Junkie.

Fighters already scheduled on the card include lightweights in former Strikeforce champion/UFC vet Josh Thomson (21-8 MMA, 1-0 BMMA) vs. Pablo Villaseca (10-1 MMA, 0-1 BMMA) as well as featherweights Daniel Weichel (35-9 MMA, 4-1 BMMA) vs. Georgi Karakhanyan (24-4-1 MMA, 2-2 BMMA).

The event takes place at San Jose State University Event Center in San Jose, California. The main card will be airing on Spike and the prelims on MMA Junkie.

Although there was no announcement today, UFC welterweight vet Josh Koscheck (17-10 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) and undefeated 170-pounder Chris Honeycutt (6-0 MMA, 2-0 BMMA) are expected to also be on the card, according to Bellator President Scott Coker.
