Myles Jury’s ‘3 lessons learned from Rousey vs. Holm’

By bjpenndotcom - November 17, 2015

As everyone knows by now, this past Saturday Holly Holm shocked the world in Melbourne Australia as she knocked put on a nearly flawless performance against Ronda Rousey, and claimed the UFC women’s bantamweight championship.

Standout UFC lightweight Myles Jury, who is currently preparing for a featherweight bout against Charles Oliveira at UFC on FOX 17, did a blog on his website TheTeamFury.com listing 3 things we learned from the Rousey-Holm fight.

Jury pointed out that the fight showed no one is unbeatable, and even he “believed Rousey would toss her (Holm) and get the arm bar submission win”.

In addition, Jury pointed out that despite all of Rousey’s trash talk, it didn’t matter when she and Holm stepped in the cage. As he points out, “Holm was able to fly under the radar and dominate the best female athlete to ever step foot in the octagon. Sometimes it pays big to be the underdog.”
