Miesha Tate: ‘I Love Punching Ronda Rousey In the Face’

Tate Rousey

Miesha Tate confessed her love for punching Ronda Rousey in the face and may get the opportunity to do it again. If Rousey successfully defends her UFC Women’s Bantamweight Championship at UFC 190, she will meet Tate for the third time.

“I love punching Ronda in the face,” Tate said at the “UFC on FOX 16” post fight press conference. Tate earned the right to face the champion after her dominant decision performance against Jessica “Evil” Eye.

While securing a win against Rousey would be a big accomplishment, Tate admits she doesn’t care who she has to fight as long as she leaves with some gold. “I mean, a bigger goal for me would be a win over Ronda, but in the big picture, my biggest goal is getting gold,” Tate said. “I want to say before I retire that I was the UFC world champion, so at the end of the day it doesn’t matter who has the belt. That’s the biggest goal.”
