Yesterday at the UFC 178 post-fight press conference, Conor McGregor had some harsh comments about featherweight #1 contender Chad Mendes.
McGregor said that he would be attending UFC 179, where Chad Mendes will look to avenge his 2012 loss to champion Jose Aldo.
McGregor went on to say:
Chad is a 5-foot-6, overblown – he should be a 125er, but he’s gone past that limit now. Now he’s just a little small bodybuilder stuck in the 145-pound division, and he gets tired quick. He’s 5-foot-6 with a 65-inch reach. I have an eight-inch reach advantage on him. I tower over him. I would maul Chad.
After the press conference, Chad Mendes spoke to Ariel Helwani and fired back at ‘Notorious’.
“Conor can get on a plane to Brazil, go to his 3rd row seat, grab a bowl of lucky charms and witness excellence,”
