UFC’s Marshall Zelaznik confrimed during the post fight press conference that both John Liniker and Ian McCall will get paid their show money even though their fight was canceled.

Weeks of trash-talking on social media was supposed to lead to a co-main-event fight on Fox Sports 1 at “UFC Fight Night 56”, however the status of the fight was in question when Liniker missed weight during his initial weigh in process. He eventually made weight and the fight was made official.

Then, it was revealed that McCall was forced to pull out of the fight due to a blood infection.

The series of events was unusual, and UFC took that into consideration when dishing out their paychecks tonight. Both McCall and Lineker have been paid for showing up, despite not stepping into the octagon.

We here at BJPENN.COM would like to wish Ian McCall a speedy, and more importantly, healthy recovery.
