“He just now got the belt, he just now unified the belt. It’s kind of like saying Weidman is the greatest because he beat one of the greatest. You’ve got to make your own way. The whole ‘greatest of all time’ is not a linear thing. You don’t take that from someone just because you beat them.

“Larry Holmes didn’t become the greatest when he beat Ali. It doesn’t work that way.”

Fan favorite UFC welterweight Matt ‘The Immortal’ Brown gave his thoughts on new UFC champion Fabricio Werdum being the greatest of all time. Basically the argument is that Werdum has beaten Fedor Emelianenko and now Cain Velasquez, two heavyweights that have been called the best, so shouldn’t he be considered the best of all time for finishing both of them? Well that’s the argument and Brown doesn’t quite see it that way.

Where would you rank Werdum on the p4p list?
