Jessica Eye Submits Clean Drug Test, NSAC Will Permit Her to Fight at UFC 170

By bjpenndotcom - February 11, 2014

After getting busted by the Texas athletic commission for using marijuana, Jessica Eye had to submit a clean drug test to the Nevada State Athletic Commission before being issued a license to fight at UFC 170. MMAJunkie’s Steven Marrocco has reported that Eye’s submitted test was announced clean and she is all set to fight Alexis Davis at UFC 170 in Nevada.

Back at UFC 166, Jessica Eye defeated Sarah Kaufman by way of decision and she was awarded the victory. However, on February 3rd the decision was nixed and changed to a ‘No Contest’ by the Texas athletic commission for undisclosed reasons. After some speculation, it was confirmed that the decision was overturned due to a failed drug test. Eye was forced to pay a $1875 fine to the state.

Alexis Davis will be looking to continue her impressive winning streak as he steps into the octagon against Eye at UFC 170 later on this month. She is undefeated in the UFC after going the distance against Liz Carmouche and Rosi Sexton. The bout between Jessica Eye and Alexis Davis is likely to headline the preliminary card that will air on Fox Sports 1 before the pay-per-view kicks off.

Ronda Rousey is set to defend her UFC Women’s Bantamweight Championship against Sara McMann in the main-event of UFC 170.
