Ronaldo ‘Jacare’ Souza is one of the fiercest competitors in the UFC’s middleweight division.

With that being said, ahead of his UFC 194 #1 contender fight against Yoel Romero, many forget about Jacare when discussing the middleweight title picture because he flies under the radar.

He spoke to MMAJunkie to discuss why he has his ‘own style’ when it comes to promoting himself:

“I don’t feel bad about my style. It’s just a matter of I can’t speak English and I can’t communicate with people. But I don’t worry about it. I just do my thing, and I believe the fans see what they see and they like it.”

“I’m going to come out with a victory, and then I’m going to ask for what I deserve,”

A win over Romero would make it 9 straight for Jacare, including 6 straight in the UFC, and would more likely than not mean a title shot against the winner of Weidman vs. Rockhold.
