Cavalri WINS

Saulo Cavalari made a statement in the finals of tonight’s tournament! Zack Mwekessa was ranked as the favorite out of the four competitors in the tournament tonight and with good reason: He is packing a TON of power. Cavalari was lost in the mixed and after a slow semi-finals bout, nobody expected him to knock Mwekessa out the way he did.

Cavalari approached the fight with great strategy: Negate the power of Mwekessa by attacking his lead leg. Mwekessa’s power was sapped as he could not lunge toward his opponent to land his strikes. Cavalari’s leg-kick tally grew and Mwekessa thought he finally adapted when he started to keep his distance. As Mwekessa blocked low in the beginning of round three, Cavalari went high and blasted him in the skull with a headkick!

Mwekessa crashed to the canvas and was unable to answer the standing ten count. The referee waved it off and Cavalari is next in line for a title shot.
