The only thing that was surprising about this bout was the duration of it.
Heavy favorite Ryan Bader utilized his ground and pound throughout the fight to bloody Anthony Perosh to a pulp. There was a point where Perosh was kneeling down and you could see blood pouring out of his nose; it was not a pretty site.
Perosh was swinging whenever he was on his feet and kept fighting to get back to his feet so Bader was hesitant to try and finish the fight. He seemed content with just dominating on the ground.
Ryan Bader stated he injured his right hand in the first round which could be another reason why he didn’t try too hard to finish the bout. Regardless, it was one of the most dominant performances in his career.
