Fabricio Werdum’s Denies March Rumor, Says He Wants To Fight Sooner

By BJPENN.COM News - September 10, 2015

UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum is a little confused. At the UFC 191 post-fight press conference Dana White said that the heavyweight division was ‘tied up’ because the champ didn’t want to fight until March of next year.

A lot of people weren’t very happy with that, considering the heavyweight title hasn’t been defended very often in the last couple of years.

However, according to Werdum’s management team, Dominance MMA, via UFC Tonight, says that they informed the UFC that Werdum would be ready to return for December or January.

Werdum last fought at UFC 188 in June, where he shocked a lot of people and beat the champ Cain Velasquez in Mexico City.

Would you like to see the heavyweight title be defended more often?
