Former WEC champ and current UFC fighter Urijah Faber had to deal with all the attention and distraction of TJ Dillashaw leaving Team Alpha Male this past week. Faber was the guy who brought Dillashaw into the sport and is the leader of TAM, so of course he was asked all about the departure and had to talk about it over and over again.

Faber has maintained that Dillashaw and himself can still be friends and he has no issue with that, but doesn’t see any need for TJ to come back and train at TAM while he’s at his new camp up in Colorado.

In a recent interview Dillashaw said he’d be willing to fight Faber if it was presented to him and ‘The California Kid’ says he’s down as well, check out what he told the Opie and Jim Norton Show:

“Yea, you know, that all took me by surprise. This was all along the same week when ‘The Crapping’ happened so it is what it is. At this point, I don’t really have a reason not to fight him other than that we’ve been friends for a long time. Before, it was ‘We’re on the same team.’ We’re not, now. I’ve got to say ‘Yes’ to it at this point.

“It was kind of similar to the drunken poop lady. It took me by surprise. We had lunch and he mentioned it, that he was getting paid to go somewhere else and I’m like, ‘Oh, alright.'”
