Ellenberger Not Impressed With Rory MacDonald

By BJPENN.COM News - May 4, 2013

UFC on FOX 8 features a welterweight matchup with possible title implications on the line between Rory MacDonald and Jake Ellenberger.

The two welterweights have been surging through the ranks collecting bodies in route to their scheduled showdown on July 27 in Seattle, Washington.

If you ask Ellenberger about the matchup and his upcoming opponent he has an interesting take on the two’s genetic makeup.

“We’re two different species,” Ellenberger recently told ESPN.com. “He’s a Cro-Magnon; I’m a Neanderthal. We have different bone density, power, pure instinct, savagery.

“He’d be better at cleaning caves; I’d be better at killing mastodons.”

“If [St-Pierre] and Hendricks doesn’t happen next, then I think Hendricks and me are going to decide who’s going to be the next No. 1 contender,” Ellenberger said.
