The ongoing drama between “The American Gangster” Chael Sonnen and Wanderlei “The Axe Murderer” Silva continued this week during Dana White’s UFC 171 pre-fight media scrum.

Dana told reporters that the fight between the TUF 3 Brazil coaches was still not set in stone.

“Yeah,” White affirmed when asked on Thursday if the fight still has yet to be signed. “There’s a lot more to that story than (I can say).

“He’s not balking,” White said of Silva. “Not even a little bit. It’s not over money either. I can’t tell you. It has to do with the show (TUF Brazil 3). It has to do with the show, that’s all I can tell you.”

Several weeks ago, a trailer aired for the 3rd installment of TUF Brazil that showed Sonnen and Silva arguing, with Chael asking when Wanderlei and he would fight, and Silva responding “Now”. The trailer continued with Wanderlei throwing a punch at Chael, who seemed to slip it and land a takedown before the trailer ended.

Could the issue with Wanderlei signing the contract have to do with the fight on the show? Give us your thoughts in the comment section.
