Dan Henderson vs. Vitor Belfort Headlines UFC Fight Night 78

By BJPENN.COM News - August 2, 2015

Dan Henderson and Vitor Belfort are set to settle the score in the main-event of “UFC Fight Night 78”, which will take place in Sao Paulo, Brazil on November 7, 2015. The bout was confirmed by Dana White at the UFC 190 post fight press conference.

Henderson’s first meeting with “The Phenom” took place at “PRIDE 32: The Real Deal” in 2006. The light heavyweights duked it out for fifteen minutes before the judges decided “Hendo” would be rewarded the unanimous decision victory. Their second bout would be a lot more decisive, however.

Belfort picked up a first round knockout win over Henderson at “UFC Fight Night: Belfort vs. Henderson” in 2013 to even score at one a piece.

Henderson proved to the naysayers that he is not quite done yet when he viciously knocked Tim Boetsch out in twenty-eight seconds in June. Belfort’s most recent performance against Chris Weidman left more to be desired for the former UFC champion, but he claims to still have another run for the gold in him.
