Daniel Cormier’s new opponent for this Saturday’s UFC 170, Pat Cummins spoke to Fox Sports 1 media members at UFC 170’s open workouts on Wednesday about his 9 day long training camp, and how prepared he is for the biggest fight of his career.

“Overthinking a situation is a big deal, especially in this game. You have what, 8-12 weeks to think about your opponent and overanalyze everything? Nine days is perfect.”

Many are counting the 4-0 Cummins out, saying he took the fight just to get his name out there and collect a paycheck. Cummins has a different mindset however:

“That’s not my mindset at all. There’s definitely a lose situation. I come in here expecting to get the win, and that’s the win I want. No matter how it comes, that’s my ultimate goal coming in here. I would have never called out Daniel and said, ‘hey let’s have a fight,’ if I didn’t truly believe that I could win.”

UFC 170 is live from Las Vegas this Saturday and is headlined by Ronda Rousey and Sara McMann.
