Clip Of The Day: Raquel Pennington chokes out Ashlee Evans-Smith

While this ‘Clip Of The Day’ from UFC President Dana White is a recent one, it certainly is a memorable one!

At the end of the 1st round, Pennington secured a bulldog choke on Evans-Smith that was extremely tight. As the bell sounded to signal the end of the round, Pennington held the choke for a split second extra. When she released the choke Evans-Smith face-planted into the canvas, and the referee called the bout.

There was some speculation after the bout as to whether or not Evans-Smith was out before the bell sounded, or whether Pennington holding the choke for a split second extra made the difference.
