Cat Back Injury Responsible For Rousey vs. Zingano Postponement

Rousey Zingano

According to report on tonight’s edition of ‘UFC Tonight’, on FOX Sports 1, Cat Zingano’s title shot against Ronda Rousey was postponed from January 3, to Feb. 28, due to a back injury suffered  by the challenger.

The UFC Tonight crew stated that Zingano needed more time to properly recover from the injury, so that she could properly contend for the belt. Originally the shift was thought to be a marketing maneuver by the UFC, being that the new location is Ronda’s hometown.

The female duo will serve as the UFC 184 co-main event, from the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Both females are currently undefeated.
