California Commission Says White’s Wrong – Matt Brown Refused To Make Weight, Fined 20%

By BJPENN.COM News - July 25, 2014

Shortly after airing today’s weigh-ins UFC President Dana White took to FOX Sports with an update and reaction to Matt Brown missing weight for his main event on FOX tomorrow night.

In the President’s statement he noted that the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) refused to let Brown make his contracted weight, therefore it was pretty much a non issue. (See Dana’s full statement HERE).

Now, Jon Anik of FOX Sports has a new development and statement from the NSAC stating that just isn’t the case.

Check it:

“Andy Foster an executive officer with the commission (CSAC), has said that Matt Brown, actually made the decision to not cut the final pound and a half and to accept the fine, 10% of the purse goes to his opponent Robbie Lawler and 10% goes to the athletic commission (20% total).”
