Ronda Rousey WINS

Ronda Rousey

This could possibly be the biggest edition of the “Booking Roundup” ever. Over ten fights spanning across seven events have been added in the recent week. There’s no way you caught every single one, so catch up with the “Booking Roundup” below!

UFC Fight Night 75: Japan’s Mousasi Gets New Opponent
When one great fight falls apart, another one materializes. In an unfortunate turn of events, Roan Carneiro has been forced to pull out of his fight with Gegard Mousasi on September 27th. Rather than getting pulled from the card, Mousasi will now be squaring off with Uriah Hall!

UFC 192: “Team Alpha Male” Comes to Houston, Texas!
Joseph Benavidez and Ali Bagautinov will meet in the octagon when UFC comes to Houston, Texas for UFC 192. Benavidez is looking to extend his win streak to four while Bagautinov wants to bounce back from his loss to Demetrious Johnson at UFC 174 in June 2014. “Thug” Rose Namajunas is also expected to make her long awaited return to the octagon in Houston against Angela Hill. Anthony Hamilton was expected to face Derrick Lewis, but was forced to pull out after he suffered an injury. Viktor Pesta will now face Lewis in the heavyweight clash.

UFC Fight Night 77: “Derkins” Does Brazil
Vitor Belfort and Dan Henderson will meet on the mat for the third time at “UFC Fight Night 77” at Brazil in November. The card is starting to shape out as Patrick Cummins and Glover Teixeira has been added to the main card. Cummins is ready to prove that he has what it takes to hang with the best in the division, and his first true test will be against former title challenger Glover Teixeira.

Light heavyweights Tom Lawlor and Fabio Maldonado are sure to entertain fans with their “never die” fight style.

Up and comer Jonny Case will step into the octagon with three-fight UFC veteran Yan Cabral at the Brazil event as well. Both Gleison Tibau and Abel Trujillo will meet in Brazil as well, looking to bounce back from tough losses to the rising-star Tony Ferguson.

UFC 193
Ultimate Fighting Championship is coming to Australia and they just announced SEVERAL fights. Lightweights Jake Matthews and Daniel Kelly will be looking to secure their third octagon win. Also announced for the event was a light heavyweight bout between Anthony Perosh and Gian Villante.

UFC Fight Night 78: Mexico Gets some Olympic Gold
Olympian Henry Cejudo landed an opponent in the form of Jussier Formiga. The undefeated Cejudo has yet to finish an opponent in the UFC and Formiga will prove to be a tough challenger as he has only been finished twice in his career.

UFC 194: “The Bull” Makes his Return
John Makdessi was pondering retirement earlier this year, but has signed the dotted lines to make his return at UFC 194 in Las Vegas. The lightweight will battle Yancy Medeiros in a battle for lightweight supremacy.

Court McGee returns from a lengthy absence as well at UFC 194 in December when meets Marcio Alexandre Jr. in a welterweight bout. McGee hasn’t stepped foot in the octagon since his December 2013 loss to Ryan LaFlare at UFC on FOX 9. Alexandre made his UFC debut in May 2014 and has yet to pick up a “W” in the octagon.

Lightweights Kevin Lee and Leonardo Santos have also been added to the card and will likely round out the Fight Pass preliminary portion of the fights, while the big dogs like Conor McGregor, Jose Aldo, Chris Weidman and Luke Rockhold will round out the main card pay-per-view.

UFC 195: “Rowdy” Is over “Cupcake”

Ronda Rousey shocked the world when she revealed that her next opponent would be Holly Holm and not Miesha Tate. Holm is a world champion in boxing and has handily defeated both opponents UFC has put in front of her. She made her octagon debut at UFC 184 against Raquel Pennington where she won by way of split decision. Ronda Rousey headlined the same card and disposed of Cat Zingano in less than fifteen seconds.
