Mich Richman is currently gearing up for his Bellator 131 bout against Nam Phan this Saturday.

Leading up to the bout many are wondering how Richman will combat Phan’s exciting brawler-esque style.

Richman spoke to MMAJunkie to discuss his gameplan for the bout.

“It’s perfect for me to put on one of those types of performances. If I’m firing on all cylinders and things are rolling smoothly, it’s going to end in an early TKO finish. He’s not going to make it a difficult night. It’s going to be really exciting.”

Nam Phan has garnered attention throughout his career for his ability to take massive amounts of damage and continue to come forward, something Richman believes will work against him.

“In all honesty, having those traits against me is not a good thing. I’m going to hit him the cleanest and hardest he’s ever been hit. If he can stand in front of mine, then yeah, whenever you stand in front of a guy that can take your best punches and stay in the fight, it can be frustrating. You’ve just got to keep your leather on target and beat him to the punch.

“I’m going to hit him really clean and if he’s still there, I’ll be very surprised and my hands are going to be sore after the fight.”
