Belfort to Hendo: ‘I knocked you out once, I’ll do it again!’

By BJPENN.COM News - August 16, 2015

Vitor Hendo

Vitor “The Phenom” Belfort is on the path of redemption after his devastating loss to Chris Weidman, and he has his sights set on another American favorite.

Dan Henderson is next in line for Belfort and the two have inked a deal to meet in Brazil on November 7, 2015. The two have squared off twice before and possess a win over each other. While Belfort became the first man to knock out Henderson, “Hendo” only picked up a unanimous decision victory over “The Phenom” when they met in PRIDE.

Henderson is riding a wave of momentum off a big win for the first time since March 2014 after a knockout win against Tim Boetsch. Despite coming off of a loss, Belfort has vowed to halt Henderson’s win-streak before it even begins by knocking him out quick:

I’m the first fighter to knockout Dan Henderson in Goiania (2013) with just 1: 17m of fight. Now in 2015 it will not be different. #focus #winner
