Antonio Rogerio Nogueira looking for a fight in early 2016

By Russell Ess - November 11, 2015

Despite a unanimous decision loss to Mauricio “Shogun” Rua at UFC 190, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira said to MMA Junkie that he was back in the gym after the loss and was trying to get another fight in 2015. Although he has not signed for a fight before the end of the year, “Little Nog” realistically looks to get a fight in early 2016 against an opponent in the top ten. “I think maybe in January or February we’ll have another fight.”

Antonio Rogerio Nogueira WINS

With his twin brother Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira recently retiring from the sport of MMA, Little Nog says he still has a few years of fight in him. He told MMA Junkie “maybe three more years” of fighting top competition is what he wants.

Little Nog’s last fight nearly ended in his favor in the first round after hurting Rua. Shogun was able to recover and win back points on the judge’s scorecards through the rest of the fight, but Nogueira still believes he won the fight.
