Aldo Focused on TKZ, Not Potential Title Shot At 155

By BJPENN.COM News - July 29, 2013

“I want to focus on my fight, then we’ll worry about a potential move. I don’t want to take too big of a step. I respect my opponent. I was already in the groove. I was prepared and I had to make a few adjustments, but I feel fine,” Aldo stated when asked about how the change affected his camp.”

UFC featherweight champion, Jose Aldo, was originally promised a title shot in the lightweight division if he got passed Anthony Pettis at UFC 163.

Pettis had to withdraw from the bout, which put ‘The Korean Zombie” in his slot and the prospect of a lightweight title shot has lots some of its steam.

For Aldo, as he tells the media on the UFC 163 media call, that shot at 155 is of little importance while he prepares to defend his own title this week.
