A previously reported featherweight bout between Akira Corassani (10-3 MMA, 1-0 UFC) and Robbie Peralta (16-3 MMA, 2-0 UFC) has now been mafe official for the UFC on FUEL TV 9 event in Stockholm, Sweeden.
Corassani, who was a semifinalist on Season 14 of “The Ultimate Fighter,” made his official UFC debut this past September against Andy Ogle at UFC on FUEL TV 5 in England. Corassani earned the judges nod that night, scoring a split-decision win over Ogle in what was a very close fight.
Peralta last saw action in September at the UFC on FUEL TV: Struve vs. Miocic event, where he earned a 23-second knockout over Jason Young. Peralta has not lost a fight since July of 2009, he has gone 10-0 since that time.
UFC on FUEL TV 9 takes place April 6 at the Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm, Sweeden. The event will mark the UFC’s second trip to Sweden, it’s first being this past April’s UFC on FUEL TV 2.
UFC on FUEL TV 9 is headlined by a light heavyweight match-up between Alexander “The Mauler” Gustafsson (14-1 MMA, 6-1 UFC) and Strikeforce crossover Gegard “The Dreamcatcher” Mousasi (33-3-2 MMA, 0-0 UFC).This article appeared first on BJPENN.COM
