If Jon Jones and Brock Lesnar were to meet in the Octagon, who would win?
That is a big topic for debate and the thing is, we could actually see that fight come together in the somewhat near future.
Jones, who just won back the UFC light heavyweight title from Daniel Cormier at UFC 214 made an appearance on Sway’s Universe and spoke about a few topics including the potential superfight with the former UFC heavyweight champion and current WWE superstar.
“Man, it would be like a modern day David and Goliath situation,” said Jones (on the topic at 7:12 of the video). “This guy is a freak athlete. NCAA national wrestling champion. I mean he’s built like – he’s such a special athlete. I think a lot of people would assume that I would lose that fight and when you get an argument like that where people really don’t know who is going to win, that’s when the money is created. That’s when you get the main stream, general public wanting to tune into this freak show, right? The little guy versus this monster.
“I know that it’s possible to beat a guy like him. I think, the higher the risk, the higher the reward and great things are never supposed to come easy. And so, that it what I’m striving for, is greatness, to do the unthinkable.”
Jones added that if the fight were to actually take place, it would be a while as Lesnar is still not a part of the USADA testing pool.
What are your thoughts on the potential fight between Jon Jones and Brock Lesnar? Do you think Lesnar will actually make the move back to the UFC for a fight against Jones? Who do you think would win? Let’s debate this one in the comment section!
