By Chris Taylor - November 10, 2018

Tonight’s UFC Fight Night 139 event in Denver was headlined by a key featherweight bout featuring “The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung taking on Yair Rodriguez.

Jung was initially slated to face former lightweight title holder Frankie Edgar at tonight’s UFC Denver event, but “The Answer” was forced to pullout due to injury.

Prior to tonight, “The Korean Zombie” had not stepped foot inside the octagon since February of 2017, when he returned from a multi-year hiatus and knocked out Dennis Bermudez. Chan Sung Jung entered the UFC Denver main event with an overall record of 14-4.

Meanwhile, Yair Rodriguez (10-2 MMA) returned for the first time since UFC 211 in May of 2017, where he suffered a second-round TKO loss to the aforementioned Frankie Edgar.

Prior to the setback, “El Pantera” had reeled off eight wins in a row, which included victories over BJ Penn and Alex Caceres.

Tonight’s UFC Denver main event exceeded expectations as The Korean Zombie and Yair Rodriguez went to absolute was for 24 minutes and 59 seconds.

In literally the final second of the fight, “El Pantera” landed a spectacular elbow that sent The Korean Zombie crashing face first into the canvas for the knockout victory.
