Fighters react to Paige VanZant stopping Rachael Ostovich
Paige VanZant picked up her first victory since August of 2016 this evening, submitting Rachael Ostovich at UFC on ESPN+ 1 in Brooklyn.
After a strong opening round for Ostovich, Paige VanZant was able to turn the tide in round two.
After landing a pair of significant strikes, “PVZ” got the fight to the floor where she proceeded to unleash some brutal ground and pound on her opponent. Ostovich would eventually give up her back which ultimately led to Paige VanZant securing a fight-ending armbar submission hold.
VanZant was very emotional after scoring the stoppage victory and stated that she would like to return to action as soon as next month’s UFC on ESPN event during her post-fight interview.
