Betting odds have been released for the immediate rematch between new UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold versus former champion Chris Weidman.

The middleweight contenders were in a bit of a mix up after Yoel Romero was flagged for a “a potential Anti-Doping Policy violation” by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA). Weidman had his prayers answered with a chance to regain the title and avenge his loss to Rockhold with an immediate rematch.

Odds Shark released the odds for the rematch. The champion Rockhold is the favored fighter at -175 and Weidman the underdog at +145 as of this writing.

From Odds Shark:

“The initial meeting between the two fighters saw Rockhold display an excellent array of skills and cardio, with the latter being one of the most important aspects to the victory. Rockhold was able to keep a steady pace in the championship rounds and his transition game allowed him to get full mount on Weidman and deliver an immense amount of damage.”

“Both of these fighters are extremely well versed, but the first fight showed the intelligence and veteran savvy of Rockhold. This is the type of loss that could go a long way towards defining Weidman’s career, as he will either use his first loss as a way to become even better or could find himself directionless in the division.”

Luke Rockhold and Chris Weidman are scheduled to fight at UFC 199 to go down sometime in June. Despite specifically saying that he did not want to fight at UFC 199, perhaps other big fights will be added to the card. However at the moment, no other bouts for UFC 199 have been announced from the UFC.
