Fresh on the heels of the news that Jon Jones will be appearing in front of the California State Athletic Commission for his hearing, Jon Jones has been releasing inspirational tweets and talking to fans on social media. There have even been a couple of short training videos showing that Jones fully intends on fighting soon. It’s that sort of confidence that has set him apart his entire career, and propelled him through his triumphs, as well as got him through his greatest tragedies. Today he had a different message though, for the people who continue to try and bury the man’s name.
Let me talk to my haters. Blame my greatness on things you simply will never understand. Hard work. Passion. Suck one
— Jon Bones Jones (@JonnyBones) February 16, 2018
That’s right, he went full Degeneration X-style on the haters. It won’t be the first time and it probably won’t be the last either. We’re gearing up to finally find out the fate of Jon Jones, what could be the greatest fighter of all-time. Regardless of the outcome of the hearing and the following arbitration, where will be those who continue to root for Bones and those that will curse him at every turn. Granted, some of this he has brought upon himself outside the Octagon in a roller coaster of a career, but inside his talent is undeniable. Will the criticisms stop if he proves his innocence?
Jon Jones appears before the commission on February 27th to find out the severity of his finds and possible suspensions, however the arbitration afterward to prove his innocence could go on until late month as his manager Malki Kawa predicts. His team are confident that he will fight before the end of this calendar year, so hopefully they know something we don’t.
