Yves Edwards Injured | Jeremy Stephens Steps In To Face Cerrone on FUEL TV 3 Card

The latest victim of the never ending injury plague is none other than long time MMA veteran Yves Edwards.
Edwards was originally scheduled to fight Donald Cerrone on the UFC on FUEL TV 3 event set for May but an undisclosed injury has forced him off the card.
In his place comes the very tough, Jeremy Stephens.
UFC on FUEL 3 is set to take place from the Patriot Center in Fairfax, VA on May 15.
Cerrone has quickly turned into a UFC fan favorite after being imported from the WEC. After stringing together a six-fight win streak that included victories over the likes of former top-ten ranked lightweight Dennis Siver. All his momentum halted in his UFC 141 bout against Nate Diaz when he lost a lopsided decision and in the process broke the UFC record for most strikes landed on.
Stephens, like Cerrone is coming off of a loss in his most recent UFC outing. He last faced Anthony Pettis in a close contest, but fell short on the judges’ cards resulting in a split-decision defeat.

Cerrone is a true warrior, love watching him fight. He will be champ one day.
Whaaaaaa! An even better fight IMO.
i think this is a tougher draw then edwards woulda been, definitley has a good chance for FOTN!
Cerrone by ko
yup. Stephenson is 25% talk 25% power 50% no respect for his betters.
i always thought stephens was pretty awesome. be he did look like shit in his last fight. this is a good match up.
Tougher fight than Edwards but think it’s not a step up for Cerrone! He is heading to the top of the division while I don’t think Edwards nor Stephens are up there.. I guess just another bonus check for Cerrone!
This is a better fight than Edwards. Let Edwards fight guillard when he heals up.
Cerrone is going to take him out. Cerrone was on a tear til the Diaz fight.
big cerrone fan but he better respect lil heathens hands….should be a great tilt.
JoeR..got it right this is a way better fight….I never understood… Condit-Diaz was close, Dana wanted a rematch for Diaz ASAP… Cowboy-Nate was close and Dana throws cowboy to the bottom bottom of the ladder to face Edwards.. I mean he could of at least gave cowboy a top 10 guy…no offense to Yves.
WTF are you high? ”Nate-Cowboy was close” it was not close dude not at all.
Clearly you watched the wrong fight because Diaz ruined Cowboy, as much as i like Cowboy…. he was destroyed.
