Last few practices

It's been real busy and I've neglected this page... I'm going to try and do a better job from here on out. In the pas few practices I learned how to get from guard and half guard and take someones back, the crucifix, and how to perform the triangle, armbar and neck wrench from the crucifix. I also signed up for private classes a few times a month to circumvent the time it takes for the learning curve. I want to learn as much as I possibly can. This is addicting. I've never been hooked on somethi… Continue

Day 3

So I went to my third practice on Friday and learned different moves on how to get into mount and someone's side guard. I don't remember all of the names, other than the bulldozer move. Day 2

Today was amazing... It was a lot more fun than the previous day, and things started to make a little bit more sense. I'm still getting my legs mixed up at times on the triangle's, but it's improving. I'll make mistakes for a long time, but each day I should be improving a little bit. I learned triangles from different positions, a chicken wing and another arm lock, as well as using leverage and getting my hips up and swiveling for for better position. At the end of the lesson I rolled with a gu… Continue

Day 1

My first day of BJJ wasn't bad at all. It was actually really fun. The Gi was heavy and sweated a ton during the 1 1/2 in the gym. I learned basic take downs, how to get off your back, the basic armbar from mount, and a triangle. I obviously need a ton of work on everything, but at the end of the day I was somewhat happy with the armbar. The Triangle and getting off of my back need a lot of work. I worked with a fellow white belt who has been going to the gym for a year, another guy who was an a… Continue
