I moved to Colorado Springs in 1999 to train for the Olympics. I lived at the Olympic Training Center as a national team member for judo; and wrestled women's freestyle for Sunkist Kids. I retired to go to nursing school. I currently have a bachl. degree in nursing and accepted a position on a medical/cardiac floor. I now do figure/physique competions at the national level to keep in shape but still like to roll around on the mat when I get time.

Did you train heavily on Ne Waza?
That's gotta help ones BJJ ground game.
Judo is highly under rated IMO. I'm glad we are seeing more and more of it being used in MMA events thee days.
How come you went for grappling arts? Most women I know prefer the striking arts a there is less contact with their male training partners.
