Aloha! My name is Meliaokalani (pronounced: "Mey-lee-ah-oh-kah-la-knee"). I was born and raised near Seattle, Washington and now reside in Hilo, Hawaii. (BIG ISLAND REPRESENT!) And... Because everyone seems to ask what nationality I am, I'll let you know right now! I'm of Hawaiian, Chinese, Italian, Norwegian, and Swedish decent. :D
I recently started modeling near the end of '05 and though it had been an off-and-on thing to me for a while, I'm ready to get my name out there and make the most of myself in the industry. Right now I am currently trying to launch myself into anything I can get my hands onto. Modeling is more of just a hobby of mine, but hopefully I will soon be able to work with a wide range of photographers and from there start working with some reputable magazines and car shows. My recent printed work has been for a clothing store in West Seattle called "Kiki Corona". I modeled for them in '07. At this time I also appeared on a handful of the fliers for H.I.N. Seattle. I can't wait to see what other oppertunities will come my way.
Modeling isn't the only thing on my mind. I have many goals for my life that I plan on accomplishing. I just finished my first year at college and plan on entering the medical field as a doctor. My dad has always been the number one person in my life and with the money I make from my job, the first thing I want to do is help him buy a house in Hawai'i. (Yes, I've always been a daddy's girl.) I also hope to find time to volunteer in a third world country someday, donate blood at least 50 times, and run in a marathon to fund cancer.
In my free time I enjoy being outdoors, cruising, and going to the beach. I love swimming and jumping off rocks and into the water! XD I can't stand the feeling of staying in my room and doing nothing... I'm a very active person. I enjoy working out and keeping myself healthy. And, like all other women, I love shopping!
I hope that through my "about me" section you were able to get a feel for the type of person I am. I would like to thank everyone who comments me. I manage over 5 different online accounts by myself so it's really hard for me to respond sometimes... But I try my hardest to get back to everyone. And thank you to everyone who helps support me. (I'm really happy about placing in the Pretty Wahine contest!!)
